I have a real feeling of sitting "wrong" in the Tuscan. The lower seat back seems to be very firm and i can't sit without sliding my torso when going round corners. The seats just don't hold. I'm not a skinny guy but my back doesn't fit.

I've tried all manner of lumbar support pressures but???

does anyone else have this and/or what seats are good as a replacement.

Pair of Sag seats on fleabay but the red stitching just wouldn't work!

any suggestions?

The T350/Sag style seats are IMHO even worse. I have next to no lower back support and find myself sliding all over the place.
The best seats I've sat in in a TVR are the original Cerbera ones. Not sure if they'll fit in a Tuscan though.

1. Remove seats
2. Remove seat back
3. Remove a thick slice (40mm ish)of foam from the back face with an electric carving knife!
4. Re-fit seats and sit back, literally!

I used to dislike my seats too until I discovered that one of the upper side supports was bent outwards. Corrected that, took out the cushion and it's pretty good. Still no Recaro but I don't move around anymore, even on the track.

Out of curiosity are the above posters shaw tarses ? confused

I find them supremely comfortable at 6'6", never used the lumbar pump and had no discomfort after a 17 hour drive. Slight bit of upper body movement on track, but nothing a 4 point harness wouldn't fix if I was a serious racer.

Just picked up my new tuscan and my god is the seat uncomfortable! Its only done 8k so the seats are as good as new and very hard in the lower back/seat pan. I used to have a Chim and the seats were so comfortable in comparison?

I'm so pleased that there appears to be a DIY solution for the seat back. Has anyone taken some foam out from the seat pan? My head is touching the roof structure (not the removable bit) which is a pain. I'm only 6'!

One little question...does the leather become baggy without the foam?

Cheers,

Martin

I'd be interested in the 'does the leather get baggy' query as well.

Froggy - if you've bought a Tuscan with plastic seats you've been ripped off badly mate!!!

I decided to give it a go and bought a kenwood carving knife.

I had to pull off the lumbar bag to begin with, then using my knee I was able to put pressure onto the back of the seat pushing the foam out the back (where the hard back had been removed). I then just cut of slices, making sure it was even on both sides. I took off about 40mm. In the process I noticed the side bolsters were loose, so I tightened them up. I then stuck

The seats are now much better. I feel supported on the side and I feel more in the seats then on them. As for baggness of the leather, this won't happen. Hard to explain, but its down to the way the foam sits on the frame.
