Im looking to buy a tuscan but insurance is through the roof. Im 24 with 3 years no claims. Living in london. Using a well know comparison webite. Just over £4000 with admiral and just over £2000 using an outside london address.

What I want to know is if this is normal or if there's an insurance company I don't know about that can insure me for less. I would rather insure it in london as I stay there more often.

So if any1 knows a good insurance company that will insure young drivers(according to insurers I am) on tvrs' please let me know.

24 IS young - enjoy it while you can

Give Quotezone a try, plus the usual 'specialists' like Mannings, Haggerty, A-Plan etc. Most will expect you to have previous experience of performance cars and keep it garaged overnight, limited mileage etc.

You will find it much cheaper to go for a 'classic' over 10 years old first, such as a wedge, S, or Chim, then 'upgrade' in a year or so.

I was 24 when I got the tuscan with 4 years no claims and 3 points. I pay £980 with Adrian Flux. Was the only guys who would insure me for anything less than £1000 looking forward to renewal this year now I am 25 can use mannings etc.

One of the few times where its not so good to be under 30 I guess! If you search on here for 'TVR Insurance Wiki' there is a list of insurers to try. I found A Plan the best for me at 32 and my wife at 28. I think Mannings were the next cheapest. Good luck!

i pay € 68 per month for a full coverage (all risk) based on a € 25000 worth of my car with track use.

AON were pretty good - I only moved because I was recommended a policy that covers house, contents and cars. Don't know about age issues.

Ok im 23... Adrian Flux quoted me silly money so very normal. My last car was group 17 so took a hit then for a high premium with Bell on a Porsche Boxster 2.5 but was 3 times lower than Adrian Flux... Now pay reasonable price with Bell on the TVR. Mail me if you want the details.

If you have one put your girlfriend on the insurance it will bring the cost down. Saved me 15%. OK so my insurance is only £350 but I'm a 37 year old old git and its a 2nd car on ltd mileage and not in London
