First off when ever there has been talk of fool's in cars (there is more than one post, on the subject) I have never previoulsy seen the ethnicity of the driver mentioned...i.e. "some european...cut me up". Secondly Oxbow feels that because this particular driver 'looked asian' its fair to post crap like 'kick him out of the country'....only reminds me of the drivel that mondodildo/misimoto(coincidence?) used to come up with in relation to what he described as 'ethnic types' sad..sad..sad all day long.
Singh , i totally agree but work in youth development in the north west and believe me you the youth (some of which are into drugs etc) are the most difficult people you could ever imagine. the asian youth in particular have got entangled in a thug life mentality(due to a high level of social exclusion, similar to what goes on with black people in the states) and act in ways you could only see in the movies but as you said and rightly said oxbows off the cuff statement was uncalled for. Its very unfortunate but its always the few idiots that spoil things for the rest. But stay cool because we all need to be balanced in what we say but also in how we respond. Its easy to judge but everyone experiences life in a different ways.(racial issues) and remember that unfortunate as it is, ethnic minorities will get labeled far quicker than there english counterparts.(coming from ireland i know what its like to be a MARKED man) anyway lifes to short to let statements like this annoy us. An apology should be on the cards though(and maybe a fine).....
Mite have been use of innapropriate language. But I AM trully a racist, not against colour, creed, religion, etc, but against dickheads who abuse all our systems/rules, especially the way idiots drive on our(yours and mine)roads and ruin it for all others. NO MATTER WOT COLOUR! I own business's in other peoples countries and always try to accomodate their feelings/religions and therefore have a good relationship with them.

Why is it when you go to America which is totally multi racial they all fly the stars and stripes. Over here you fly the union jack you'll be made to take it down because some non English person has complained saying its racist. Some people are are joke.
Correct me if im wrong but on the Queens honour list was a black person but he refused it beacause of slavery. HELLO that was yonks ago. How long does a race have a chip.

Quite agree that our lack of allegience to our own establishment and it's institutions generally is what weakens our national fibre immensely.
On the other hand, I've generally found that the tossers who oppose the flying of either The Jack or St.George's banner are eco-weeny, white molluscs.
I like Pistonhead's because I like cars, I like talking about cars. It was
on this basis that I made the comments I felt had to be made and was keen to
leave it at that. The posts from subsequent posters reassured what I already
knew that this forum is generally inhabited by 'good guys an gals'

Why do these sort of post's invariably begin with "I am not a racist"?
But within a sentence of the claim talk of people as white and non-white, is
it that one must be white to be British? Inner cities have the highest crime
rates but usually the cheapest housing so is it any wonder that the people
that live there are more likely to be the victims of crime? It is a tenuous
argument and far removed from the subject of this post, as a for instance
98% of convicted paedophiles happen to be 'white', the point being?
What are you referring to? Have you recently been accosted on your doorstep

biggest determining factor as to acceptance or not.
Had the driver been a white illegal immigrant who jumped ship yesterday and
stole the car, there would have been no mention of his ethnicity, for being
white he is assumed British...what utter tosh !!
Have you ever lived in the States? I spent two years there and believe me it
is by and large a less tolerant society than most of the UK.
As has already been pointed out there are many (to continue to use your
terms) white people who object to the Union Jack, how much animosity exists
between the four nations that make up the jack? Ask a Scot or a Welshman and
they will tell you the Jack is more a symbol of 'Englishness' than the
union, are they white or non?
Benjamin Zepha niah who turned down the OBE gave many more reasons for doing
so than the 'tabloid' version you have reproduced as another point of fact
many more white people have 'turned down' or given back their honours in the
past.
As for how 'long can a race have a chip...it was yonks ago' with reference

people you can never be a part of the whole because your the wrong colour.
I am a Sikh and was born and brought up in this country,
My grandfather fought in the British army in World War One and two of my
uncles fought again with the allies in WW11 all were awarded medals with one
of them being awarded the VC for bravery, it might interest some to know
that 83,005 Sikhs were killed and 109,045 wounded in WW1+2 fighting for
Britain and the allies, despite being one of the smallest communities in the
world.
My father came to this country with exactly five pounds, he worked the jobs
nobody else wanted, never claimed a penny in benefit's, over the years he
set up two successful businesses employing 15 people. He made sure we took
our education very seriously with me now as a Mgmt. consultant
(disappointing I know!!) my brother becoming a engineer and my sister a
doctor. This is pretty typical stuff for a lot of families.
Despite this had it been me in that car (although I rarely drive like a
twat..actually make that never) I would have been at the receiving end of
'kick him out of the country' just as I am still to many just a *aki and
it's that which is annoying, you don't know anything about me other than the
colour of my skin.

After recent events, I'm beginning to consider the comments of others on this board viz a vis the value of 'immigrants' generally versus the more copious mounds of ubiquitous Anglo-Jute descendancy which often equate to what our more aggressive American military cohorts might describe as "squat."
I'm not really changing my basic, ultra conservative base rather, acknowledging the reality that Albion's enemies are more likely white trash in the main than any other socio-economic gaggle.

Basically a scrote is a scrote no matter what their skin colour or religious beliefs.
To determine "scroteness" you should look at peoples actions not how much brown chemical is in their skin or whether they worship pink marshmallows or an all powerful being.

From what I've read - a large proportion of this actually seems to be down to the dear old stereotype which may or may not result in racist thoughts/remarks.
Taking an episode of numpty driving as an example - had the person been a woman or an old aged pensioner, I'm sure the same old stereotypical non-politically correct thoughts would spring to mind.
I'm not saying it's acceptable in any cases, I have cursed female drivers on many occasion mainly due to them letting the side down with dire driving and comments about female driving have been made on here in the past (if my memory serves me correctly).
Nevertheless, it seems that race-induced comments do seem to be the order of the day in terms of getting people's backs up. It almost appears to be disproportionately so and yet, put these in context and I don't see this type of backlash in the defence of the old dears and women who also get a bit of a pasting.
I'm not an exceptionally politically correct person at the best of times and in all honesty have probably jumped to all sorts of misplaced conclusions in the past, but we are all guilty of that at one time or another. Taking people at face value can sometimes mean just that. In a split second encounter with a bit of road rage thrown in I'm sure that most people would think/act inappropriately - this does not however necessarily accurately reflect their true beliefs...

Slamm, well said! Adding to that, we might be a little more forgiving to the people giving these remarks, as in most cases it is a result of frustration.
In other cases, learning forgiveness to anyone would help make a better world!
