One thought i had was clutch, but whole lot, master, slave and clutch kit was changed 6k miles ago, would you still change for the clever trevor slave whilst its out?

Some heat shielding particularly around the cats and exhaust would be a good idea wink

Raceproved/Clever trevor slave cylinder &(!!!) diaphragm spring otherwise you'll be back in crap clutch land before too long.

You might want to splash out on the lightweight flywheel and ceramic coated manifolds whilst you're there, however it will start to add up! smile

New engine mounts with some heat shielding around them.

Personally if the clutch was changed for a standard TVR one I'd leave it alone, I tried a few of the other options and after changing them 4 times I went back to the TVR one. I'd look at the chassis around the manifold section as often gets the powdercoat too hot.

How old is the engine.
Have you considered tzhrottle body upgrade with roller bearings. Its a good improvement on early engines.

Engine is 2002, top end rebuild last year but bottom end not done...so now they are going to put right what should have been done originally! I think a warranty company were involved which muddied the waters and restricted the scope of work.

Thanks for the tips, engine mounts were on my list, hadnt thought of heat sheild though? Just standard adhesive relfective stuff?

I had heard about the roller bearing upgrade, will have a chat to the builder bout that, apparently that allows for a more stable state of tune, am i right?

Ive decided to leave the clutch - been reading around and it does seem standard TVR clutch and master with raceproved slave is best but it could have 4/5 years left in it provided it was well fitted (done by racing green so would expect it to be)

Lightweight flywheel - much difference? I had been told a performance improvement but this has since been questioned, so not sure...

Cant afford the ceramic coatings (a lot of money and i have to prioritise) TBH and i wouldnt wrap.

Will look at the chassis though...be worth adressing any probs.

Yes, made my 2000 Tuscan stay in tune much longer.
Also reduced the engine noise (not exhaust wink )
It was a significant improvement.
The 2000 engine had no bushings between the butterfly flaps shaft and the aluminiun throttle body castings so lots of wear and so play.
Dont know about a 2002 engine.
It cost about 600 pounds.
