Cerrion Silver - Front End Respray

I've got a few stone chips on the front of the car and a nasty little scratch on the drivers door. If I have these panels resprayed will it match the rest of the paint work, the car is painted in cerrion silver. I'm very critical when it comes to the Tuscan and the quality of workmanship, if it doesn't perfectly match I will never sleep again.

if you really don't want a colour difference with a respray on a older metallic silver coloured car then you'll have to respray it totally
the sun has done it's work
the colour has faded and if you look closer you'll see the difference in metallic flick's and thickness of the varnish layer
you want a front/side respray but the rest of the lacker is about 8 years old
if you yust want a good looking car where 95% of the people won't see a difference bring it to a proper bodyshop

A good body shop should be able to match the paint but it won't be cheap.

A few years ago I had paintwork done on a 28 year old TVR with a Jaguar colour opalesent paint. Most of the paint on the car was original and I am super critical, I did not want to paint the full car. The result was incredible and the only fault I couldfind was that the new paint had no light swirl marks. It was left in the garage for 2 weeks to gather dust and then the dust was wiped off with a clean cloth, result, perfect paint finish match with the rest of the car!!

Car finishers can work wonders matching paint finish/colour aided by spectrometers.

have done a lot of respraying years ago (owned my own bodyshop)
i can always see the difference
like i said
if you like a nice job done go to a good bodyshop
look at there work first and talk about prices
a specialist though will always see that you have had work done

I'd be very impressed if you could tell!!

you can allways tell by looking at the thickness of the paint

i might be able to get the exact formulation that your car was painted with but it might be no good if the car has had paintwork since it left the factory. if you want email me your year of car and last 4 digits of your chassis no. and i will have a look.

Potato muncher, I will e-mail the numbers over later today, incidentally John Reid is currently building my Tuscan Challenge car in Blackpool, I'm due to come up and have a look at my cars progress in a few weeks, I could drop by with the car in question and let you take a look.
