Took the Tuscan to pick the Mrs up from work, parked up in the car park, nose in first on a slight slope. Waited round for 10 mins for her to show up, she gets in, i start the car, engage reverse, foot off brake and clutch out give it some gas........ the gears just crunch and it rolls forward into a sodding post. Dam these cars with no reverse syncro.

It popped one side of the service bonnet up and a first glance i thought i had gotten away with it, so just popped the bonnet back into the clip, checked when i got in and there is about an inch crack which is no longer level. It only rolled 6" if that.

Not the end of the world as it needed painting but its no longer a quick reletivly easy job as it will have to come off for repair etc etc.

I could really do with some good luck at the moment, just for a change.

Put it into 5th before you put it into reverse and it slips straight in every time (bit late now I know but still......)

No amount of advice is going to help now i suppose, just bad luck, just hope you get her fixed up again soon...

I normally do 5th first, cant remember if it did or didnt this time, hey ho, live a learn could have been worse.

Serves me right for rebuilding the sticky rear brakes, i i hadn't it would not have rolled as easily.

no gearboxes have syncros on reverse...
