Trade-ins on the up?f
Discussion
Last year I was offered 4K less than I've just been offered on a trade-in of my Tuscan S. I felt slightly encouraged by it but it's still not good enough for me to part with her.
Privately what are "last build" Tuscan S's going for. Mines is an April 07, 9000 miles, mint condition, gaz gold pros, uprated radiator.

In the classifieds on here, people seem to be asking between £30K and £35k depending upon whether private or dealer. What they get is another matter. To some extent I suppose it does also depend on the spec, full leather, special paint and popularity of colout but probably not very much.Privately what are "last build" Tuscan S's going for. Yip they are asking those prices but are they getting them !Dealers have cars sitting around for a good while. Mines sat at DrivenImage for 3 months without a bite at £34K. I've spoken with a few dealers recently who have commented that the last built cars are proving difficult to shift. There are plenty of £20K cars around.
Whether or not I want to sell is another matter but it certainly is interesting to be offer more on a trade-in than I did last year. Must admit though £21K last year and £25K this year is still low in my opinion, especially for a mint car.
Some dealers are offering warranties - where are they getting them from? I'm tempted by one for mine, either from a resell point of view or just piece of mind.

You can buy warranties off the internet - weather they will shell out is a different story - I have the AA one which covers you for first £500 and is well reputed.
Possibly not for TVR's but a decent rule of selling price is look at ebay look for what the 'completed' prices are.
Yeah i know. I've seen a number of dealers offering cars with 12 month warranties on them.Possibly not for TVR's but a decent rule of selling price is look at ebay look for what the 'completed' prices are.
