Drivers window

Hi,
Found out this morning that my right window would only close to half position, using the switch on the inside. It just got stuck. When closing the car with the remote all windows close. After that the right door won't open for a while. After three attempts the door opens, window lowers a little and everything works well. New attempt to open the door from the inside. Same result....window goes all the way down, but sticks in half position when trying to get it up. Any ideas?

The window encoder in the motor will have either got confused or needs drying out/replacing.

Try putting window up from inside and unplugging the window ecu then reconnecting it, that should reset its know position. The eu is under the ashtray in the center console.

Sounds like the window controller. Its the black box located under the stereo pod - there are two of them (under the centre tunnel cover). Try swapping them over to see if the fault switches to the other window. Be warned that they will need a few minutes to sort themselves out after the swap. Just lock the car then unlock it and try it.
