Just had my car back from its 12k service. Just noticed on the invoice that they have put Mobil Super S SS oil in it??? Should be Mobil 1 fully synth, shouldn't it? Should i change the oil for mobil one?

Also they didnt swap out the air filter, just cleaned it up, is this normal? Im gonna swap it out as the rubber around the side is flaking away quite a bit.

Cheers

I think you will find that TVR Power recommend semi synthetic but would be worth a call to Dom to confirm.

My handbook, Mk2, but wouldn't think there should be any difference between marks states,

Running in to 1000 miles - Carlube Triple R 10W- 40 Semi-Synthetic
From 1000 miles - 6000 miles - Carlube Triple R 10W- 40 Semi-Synthetic
6000 miles on - Carlube Triple R 5W- 40 Fully Synthetic

Air filter should be changed for a 12k service, how ever if they felt it just needed cleaning, and you are not doing the miles, then i suppose that's ok?

Mine has had a rdent re-build by Power. I called them recently to ask what oil should be used and was told 10-40 semi synthetic and "nothing else".
