So i decided to replace the air filter today, wasn't done on the 12k service...The air box and throttle pots were black with oil, the air filter (must have been original) was falling to pieces. Seriously surprized this wasn't done at the service. Scrubbed the air box, cleaned up the pots and whcked in the new filter. After putting it all back together for the second time, forgot to put the air temp sensor in the first time, took it for a drive....Transformation or what, pulls a lot harder, much smoother accross the range, easier and smoother pulling away and sounds better.
Thinking i might do the services myself in the future. At least ill know everthing has been done.
I'm gonna take the pots off, take em to bits and clean them properly, antbody done this? any advice?

quick question. How do you get the air box off? I removed all the lines and ecu connector plus the 2 allen bolts. However I was unable to lift it high enough to get it off before the windscreen got in the way. I guess theres a nack to it.
Presumably you've undone the 2 front clips? If so theres one more of these clips at the back of the air box. Put your hand in round the back and feel along the join on the top/bottom, About half way along theres another clip. The box will then lift off.I was adviced by a pro to regularly clean the throttle bodies (with a smooth cloth and some aceton) and do this every +/- 1000 miles.
In deed this is an easy task (once you know where the 2 little air-pressure measurement hoses are located) and really helps her reving much more smooth.
I was also told this would increase the life of the "weak top-end parts".
