Living with a convertible

Noticed that the convertible prices have dropped into my price range, but I was curious how the folding roof is to live with. (Search is offline at the moment).
I sat in one convertible at TVR Barnet last year and noticed the poor alignment on the windows with the roof, although I'm aware this can happen with the removable roof too.
My questions are:
1)How is the noise inside the cabin compared with the standard Tuscan
2)Is it more prone to leaks
3)Are they prone to tears/creases

Only the rear portion folds as per Griff and Chim, the centre section is "hard" (Fibre Glass with canvass type covering usually in black but seen blue,green and maroon).
Not a single leak in the convertible...unlike the Targa Mk2 I once borrowed from the factory which P***ed water in. Mine fits perfectly provided its put on correctly. The centre section is considerably larger than a Chim or Griff roof, and its just aswell its made of lightweight fibreglass matting or you wouldn't be able to lift it. It is a very tight fit in the boot and again requires the correct technique otherwise you keep pulling the rubber edges off. In some ways I prefer the upward stoweage of my Chim roof rather than the flat stoweage of the Tuscan. But it depends on the occasion...a long run with luggage and it starts to rain,I guess its better on top...but just poping something in your boot in the Tuscan ,can be a pain.
No wind noise with roof on or off, can be a bit flappy at speed on a motorway in mullet configuration (with the roof off and rear section up).
I would like to think low prices are just a short term situation, I'm hoping they start to go up soon... but I'd be suprised at anyone selling one , unless they had a very good reason.

I had had both. The MK2 is defintly better, lots of small improvements. Mine doesnt leak and is as quiet as any tuscan with the roof on. True there is less room behind the seats because of the roll over bars. but the boot is same as any tuscan so v big. The roof is fiddly but no worse than the targa. Nearest thing to a MK2 Griff so all good.
Neither my MK1 or my MK2 Tuscan Targas let water in. I have driven a Tuscan convertible and the wind noise is slightly less than a Targa, but you can't have the different modes of driving i.e.

Also I don't particualy like the roll bar's/rear window struts of the convertible or the way it look with the roof on, but it does look very nice with the roof down. It was a difficult decision three years ago when I bought my MK2, Targa or Convertible, but eventually the Targa won.

As above I thought the Targa looks better with roof on, but convertable better off. Saying that I've only driven with roof on once or twice in the past year & usually the roof panel is left at home. 
Does anyone else find the Targa seems to stretch a bit at silly triple digit speeds (the sort where the wipers are lifting off the screen) ? My Mk1 creates a gap around the drivers side window that gets big enough to poke your finger through by the time you get deep into the second half of the speedo.
