Can anyone send me some pictures of their roof, especially the 4 corners from a front and rear perspective rather than from above.
The reason I am asking is that I have water leaking from the headlining above both the driver and passengers head, so more torwards the front of the roof around the rubber on the inside and I would like to see if I am missing some rubber from the front corners of the roof which may stop water seeping round the front edge and into the inside of the roof.

Astro. Yeah checked the windows and they are fine. The water seems to come in from the corner at the top of the windscreen frame area so well above the window and then perhaps runs along the rubber which joins onto the roof cloth. The cloth is now all water mark stained and it is dripping on my brand new carpet.
I had wondered if the fin (trim on the side of the roof exterior) securing holes are leaking but there seems to be too much water just to becoming from a screw thread hole, if infact they are screwed on and not glued.

The early MK1 roof design was changed. Mine is an early car and does this. The left and right edges of the roof are separate pieces to the main roof. Later cars (like the 2001 I looked at when looking for a car) have a 1-piece roof.
I believe it's this design which allows water in the top front corners of my roof.

Has anyone replaced their roof with a later version and if so did it cure the problem?
The pictures if the curled rubber would be good to see just in case this is a permanent on my car which I have failed to see.
Also wondering if the water is coming in via the securing pin holes at the rear where the rubber has perished, and running forward. I am loathed to remove the head lining but as it has stained think about it as the best solution, and then replace with new.

Maybe your roof was changed or they changed the roof design very quickly??

I am now also wondering if it is worth filling the channel at both ends with some clear silicone to stop the water being channelled in towards the windscreen surround.
That's not a bad idea as a guy in my region who did the Tamora/sagi car(think he posts as Plasticman)suggetsed this. I guess if you get a good finish on that it may cure the problem and look ok. I would like to get mine bonded on.Keep us posted if you do it.
BDM. I was going to see if putting silicone at the end of channel would work, but will have to take it far enough back to stop the water flowing over the dam it would create in the channel. I also have a gap between where the roof sides end and the windscreen surround starts so was wondering if I could make some rubber feet similar to the ends of a ladder, like a cap, to put over the ends to fill the gap.

Your roof sounds like it leaks and fits (or doesn't fit) like mine. I have a picture somewhere which I'll post as soon as I find it. I need to sort a solution as would like to get the car 100% dry. Don't get me wrong it's no where near bad as the front edges of the roof liner get damp but would prefer them to be dry.Other pictures would be good and I will photo mine before and after when I get round to fixing it.
Found it! The gap at the front is what I would like to fill. I was thinking about giving it to a body shop at some point to see what they could do. I'm not sure but think the trim that goes down the side of the windscreen may be too low?? I know that car had a front end spray before it was sold to the guy before me as it went through TVR Barnet. Who knows???

Yep mine looks the same but I don't think this is the cause of the problem now. I am going to RG today as I need to replace the rubbers above the window so will ask if they have seen this before. If what everyone sugests is that the 1st roofs were re-designed I am wondering if the leak is between the leading edge of the roof and the screen as the curve on the screen looks shallower that on the roof.
Solution: Visited TVR Racing Green and with the expert help of most of the staff I have a plan of action.
1. Remove both side windscreen trims, clean and re-stick using Betaseal 8000. At the same time I am going to replace the top windscreen rubber.
2. Remove the side fins (gutters) from the roof and again clean and re-stick to prevent water going in between the roof and side gutters.
3. Repalce the whole rubber seal around the doors and roof 8M approx.
4. Fit new rubbers above the windows on the roof once number 2 has been complete.
The more expensive solution is to replace the roof with a later version which I looked at in RG as they are a 1 part roof and not 3.
Perhaps buy a material spray to apply to the stained roof lining as I can't get the water marks out. (Current cloth is light blue so going for a darker blue which will match some of the other trim)
Total cost of the whoel job is £80
