got in the tusc the other day for a wee evening spin having just had it serviced and half an hour into the drive the interior fans came on full blast over-riding all control of the fans- can't turn em up or down, switch on air con or change temperature. Switching the fan on and off makes no difference. When I switch the car off they go off - as soon as I turn the ignition on they come on full blast - pretty noisy and pretty cold!

anyone had this particular gremlin before!!

thanks!

It may be the heater ECU needs a repair, I sent mine off for repair, cost £37 and was back in a couple of days. Mine however came on and went off intermittently so not the same problem but may be a similar fix. The ECU is under the passenger dash in case you didn't know. You could try unplugging and refitting. The company I used was:
Electroversal,
Unit 2,
Sedgwick Road,
Luton,
Beds,
LU4 9DT

If it becomes intermittent then try gently twisting/pulling/pushing the Heater ECU connector. The connector overheats and melts the plastic, causing all kinds of weird heater related issues.
