Hi

Anyone ever had a problem of getting it into reverse, for the last 3 or 4 days its been a nightmare trying to get the gear stick into reverse. All other gears are ok.

Is it all the time or just when it's cold?

Mine is a bit stiff to get into 1st, 3rd and reverse until it's warmed up. I also found I wasn't pushing the clutch all the way in when I was driving so it crunched occasionally. Sorted now by moving the seat forward 1 notch

If it's not that maybe the clutch is knackered - has it been replaced at any time? Fluid level ok?

Best of luck

Mine has just started to be tricky and it makes a bit of a crunch when the engine is cold. I'm pleased to say it goes back to normal once the engine gets warm. (Yes, I do try 5th first)

It started to happen a few days ago, to my g/f but was fine for me over the weekend. There is no crunching and happens both hot and cold, every other gear is sweet and it had a new racing clutch fitted a week before i bought it from HHC. I'll check the fluids again but if every other gear is ok apart from reverse it can't be fluid related can it?

This is exactly what happened a couple of weeks ago to my T350, I took it back to Heath in TVR service and he seemed to know immediately what it was. They took centre console out and within 30 mins I was back on the road!

I think its a common fault so give Heath a call at the factory and he should be able to tell you what it is.

I also have a 2000 model Tuscan.

My gearstick linkage fell apart and when the TVR Centre fixed it they did an "upgrade" to the mechanism which seemed to move the whole centre console (and stick) back slightly.

Might be worth inquiring about gear selection linkage upgrades.
