very hard to remove cans
Discussion
Hi
I am trying to remove the original cans (to replace with CCC I have just received) but they seem to have rusted and are firmly attached to the other part of the exhaust. I have tried WD40 but I still can't manage to remove the can. Do you have any tricks/ideas to help me remove the cans? cheers

I would first check the band clamps haven't been overtightened in the past and deformed the pipe from the can into a groove with the exhaust. Do the cans rotate on the exhaust pipe but wont come off? If not try a band strap on the can spigot and make them turn, if you can turn them back and forth your half way there. Personally wouldn't touch an exhaust garage with a barge pole unless you know them very well or they let you watch what they do. Best of luck.
I ended up prising the ends of the pipe on one of my cans up and then bending them back with pliers like peeling a banana, if that makes sense. After a bit of twisting and pulling the can came off. Put your foot against the corner box when pulling to make sure the force is on the right joint.
