Seat Belt |Mech. Removal

Can anyone tell me how to remove the drivers side seat belt. My mechanism has jammed and without stripping back all the new carpet I have just had fitted, I can't see properly to see how it is secured.

Pull the carpet back unfort. and then there is one bolt holding it to the roll hoop. Bit of PITA, lots of wiggling to pull it out.

Thanks. Guess will have to get some glue for the carpet. Is there only 1 bolt? do you know if it is worth while tinkering to seeing the locking mechanism is just stuck? A new belt is £150 from RG. Is this competitively priced?
