Wing mirror door switch.

Hi all,
The driver's wing mirror door switch has stopped working on my Tuscan S. The passenger WMDS and both internal door switches are working fine, but not the one on the driver's door. Of course, I'll see about getting it fixed professionally, but before I do I wondered if anyone else had suffered a similar problem and whether or not it's an easy fix (a loose wire or connection perhaps?).
Just to clarify - the switch is doing nothing - it's not trying to open the door but the door won't open, it's not even trying or seemingly even sending a signal. Plus, it was fine yesterday morning, not working yesterday evening (after a charity day on a track with no bumps, prangs or mishaps) and still not working today.
