Where do I find the connection for the diagnostic software?

Hi !

A friend of mine has bought a 2006 Tuscan convertibel. I am going to help him to do some service on the car. Where do I find the connection for the diagnostic software on a Tuscan conv?

Peppe, the three pin diagnostic cable can usually be found tucked away at top right hand side of fuse box somewhere around here!



The other end of the cable is a 9 pin female D shell for the laptop serial port.

Please can you ask your friend for details of the car for the register, diagnostic cable location(s) in here http://share.ovi.com/media/PhilT.Tuscan/PhilT.1000... , however I've never managed to get the ODB connector to work only the the 3 pin one.

What details do you need?

The info I have is that it should be one of the ten last cars to leave the factory late 2006. It is a 4.0S and the colour is light blue metallic with a dark blue top (I don´t know the correct name of the colour). Clas bought his car early in 2008, so i think it is time to do some service on it.

My friend lives about 200 km away and he should be on his way here just now to spend the weekend. Hopefully I can give you some info tomorrow night.

Last 4 digits(build number) of the VIN plate (in the boot) help as it uniquely identifies the car,colour (int/ext), mileage,first registered date, and any specials... and photos of course (e-mail the to me if you wish [e-mail]). I reckon the last cars came of the line july/august 2006 , my is 1061 and I reckon the last was about 108x .... so only 20-30 cars came off the line between april and august... (that's ALL cars...Sags,Tuscan Targas and Converts).... Bet you struggle for TVR mechanics in Sweden....

I do all the work on my Cerbera SP6 by myself. It has included a body off chassis restoration and annualy service, including tappets, balancing throttles etc.
I have also had some electric gremlins in the car to solve and have managed to do that.
I think I will be able to do some service on Clas car later today (not the tappets, we will not have the time to do that).
