Tuscan S Exhaust Query

Removing the old cans to put on a Christmas pressie!!! I noticed that the left pipe has forward/backward play of about 1 or 2 inches. Is this normal, the movement seems to be near the engine area, but the exhaust is not blowing???? but seems to be rattling against the diff protectors!!!!

Doesn't sound right to me.

Are the rubber hangers in place at the back of the wheel arches? and the adjustable hangers at the right angle part of the pipes just before they enter the silencers?

If it's not blowing then the pipes must be connected OK through to the engine so I suspect one or more of the hangers isn't in place.

Edited to say;

FYI mine move about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch on the hangers but it's about the same both sides

Racing Green (Thanks John) checked it for me today (despite the Christmas breaj and not being fully open), the forward/aft movement is normal. The knocking was caused by a missing support!! Missing for a while aswell, looks like the original dealer (not Racing Green) missed it on the PDE and 100 mile service - wont be going back to them again.
