Differential Oil

Hi All
Need some help changing the oil in the BTR Engineering diff on my 2002 Tuscan MK1

I can see a very large (30mm ???) flat hex bolt head to one side...is this the way to get oil out and in ??? Or is there a separate drain and fill plug like on the gearbox ?

Refreshed mine a few months ago (2S). The filler bolt is on top of the diff, so you need some kind of pump to get the oil in. If I remember correctly there is a drainage bolt on the bottom, so that's easy enough.

I was told by Racing Green that you need a very specific dif oil, so might be worth checking this out. They did mine & I can't remember what the oil was (2001 Mk1)

My last bill from Castle says Mobil 80/140W if that helps

yust done the yob
it's fairly easy
the drain bolt is underneath and the filler bolt is the big on the side (not on top)
you need to fill till it comes out (than it's full)
It's SAF 75w140 diff oil
why do you wan't to change the oil
is the diff wet ? or do you yust want to renew ?
you'll need 1,5 liter for a full renewell

Success! Fiddly job I found mainly because of lack of access
Anyway, did a complete change as part of 6 yr routine
It's gloopy stuff that new diff oil. Ended up sucking the old stuff out with hand pump and using same pump to push the new stuff back in...darned hard work!
For anyone else contemplating doing this you'll need a 29mm af spanner (approx)...it's a biggie!
