You will need to remove the centre console, two screws on either side and one at the back of the console under the metal airvent. Lift up at the front, pull off the connector and unscrew the cigar lighter socket

Nah you can do it easily without taking the console off, the centre will just screw out, this leaves the rear socket section under the console. You can get to this by taking the ash tray out. If you have massive hands just pop the alloy trim out that holds the ashtray, its knurlled and is a tight fit but will pop out with abit of a wiggle.

Before you rip it out, mine would not power anything up but the fuse was ok, i checked the voltage and it was onlt 3v, took the fuse out and it was alittle corroded, gave it a clean up with some wet and dry, popped it back in and all is well again.

There are some spade connectors on teh back of teh socket - mine have fallen off before.

If you do take the console off (easy) remember to line up and connect the rear vent pipe with the vent - its a pretty poor design and its easy to have all the hot air blowing around under the console!

I guess you can close the window by locking the car from the outside.

no it doesnt close the passenger window, even with the switch connected.

It does close the drivers side one though.

The door opens on the switch, just no window.

What a pain.

Update.

Both fuses are ok. I've fitted the drivers side switch to test and it still doesn't operate.

I then swapped the window ecu's over and still no passenger side window on the working switch or on locking the car.

Is a pain in ass.
