I can tell you I paid 210 quid plus labour (not exactly sure how much though, as I had other things done as well...) for an upgraded 4.3 starter motor on my Mk 1 Tuscan S... Dont have the knowledge or the space/tools to do it myself unfortunately.

Well there is power from the battery, basically 9+ volts (it does get left standing more than I'd like) the ignition clicks a small turn of the motor followed by loads of clicks. Once it was running it was fine and had no problem after, but it started getting sticky before now so I think it could be time to replace it.
