My window drops about halfway before the door pops open.

Are all Tuscans the same?

Its too far really, takes too long. I'm a busy man. It needs only drop about 2 inches.

So is there any way of adjusting this?

Does it drop again when you open the door? If so, you need a new control unit. If not, haven't heard/read of a way to adjust this.

Sounds like the encoder is screwed which is common. As said when you press the button does the window drop, wait then pop the door open then the window drops again?

I have fixed a few of the encoders now so drop me an email.

It sounds normal to me.

Mine does it, as does every tuscan i saw when i was viewing them. I would say just less than halfway to be precise.

No, the window only drops once.

I think its working fine, just I reckon there's no need for it to drop that far!

Maybe 'the all do that!'

But I was just wondering if there's an adjustment for that in the window control box, or whereever that box gets its signal from when the door button is pressed.

Mine only drops once and about 4" before the door opens. Has done this for the last 6 years so I suspect its quite normal. Half way sounds a bit too far but it is a TVR so it may be usual for your car - they are all different !

Always has gone just above half way on mine.
As the Sagaris windows only drop an inch or so, I would guess the encoders have been re-programmed which might be worth looking in to if it bothers you so much, as long as this clears the 'A' pillar.

T350s, Tuscan 2s and Sags only drop a couple of fingers (at least, all the ones that I have seen and I have even commented on it to said owners) whereas all the Mk1s that I know of for some unfathomable reason seem to drop to nearly halfway. I agree it is a pain in the arse and is far too long when you are stood in the pissing rain. I wonder if you could retro fit a more modern encoder to a Mk1.

It certainly seems like something that TVR picked up on in the later T cars and fixed. You can get in a Tuscan 2 much faster than a Tuscan 1 as a silly drunken Le Mans game proved this year smilebeer.

P.s. Speaking of Lemons: Hi Bob! wavey Are you coming next year then?
