I have noticed that oncoming traffic occasionally flashes me with my headlamps on. They are definitely not on main beam 'cos when I flash them back they try leaping into the ditch.

Are my headlmaps likely to be adjusted 'too high' ?

How can I tell and can I do anything about it ?

Yes, get them adjusted. I had some nutter run me off the road because they thought I was flashing them all the time

Did you get your dealer to do it ?
I can't see how to do it as they appear to be fixed. Admittedly I haven't had the bonnet off or had a proper look.

Yeah, you have to remove the service and main bonnets and the 2 access panels under the bonnet. Then you can get access to the back of the headlamps where the adjusters are.

To be honest, though, it's best left to a dealer as it's easy to mess up the left/right adjustment (and if the car's under warranty the dealer should do it FOC).

Alternatively you could jack up the back of the car or go on a diet

Mine were adjusted by the dealer and I still got flashed a lot. Now I make a point of not turning off main beam until a split second after I come into clear view of oncoming traffic. This way they can see for sure that I've turned my main beam off and I seem to get flashed less.
