TUSCAN WHEEL BEARINGS FROM JEEP?

Can anyone help me to source the wheel bearings for a TVR Tuscan.
All 4 are identical and come as a unit with bearings/carriers/wheel studs as a single unit.
I understand they are off a Jeep Cherokee but unsure of model and year, standard or grand cherokee?
Also, if you are in the part sourcing game, does anyone know of the source of the starter motor, alternator and top and bottom ball joints?

I have heard that you porridge :binned: are tight but it really is not that much dearer to go through racing green or who ever to get your TVR parts. God forbid the next generation of TVR buyers from what I read on Pistonheads. They are all going to be DIY serviced by the looks of it.

Dear T450t, I think you have lost the plot, buddy.
In case you have not noticed, all TVR's are just glorified kit cars, nearly all consumables are sourced from other cars since they had neither the financial backing nor requirement to develop thier own. No bad thing, Porsche have been especially good at raind VAG parts bins for years. WE are still using top ball joints from a Saab 99 for God's sake!
And when TVR did, well..... the straight 6 engine is a great example, it 's only taken us all about 9 years to sort that one out.
As a degree qualified mechanical engineer, I consider myself well qualified to rebuild a Tuscan, they are not complex nor demanding cars and most of the reliability issues have been caused by poor design ( read parts adoption) and especially poor maintenance by numpties, mostly from the shires.
Let's not loose sight of what a TVR really is and we can all enjoy them for what they are, great innovative fast cars built to a budget using whatever was fit for purpose, what they are not is premium engineering!

Keep you offensive comments to yourself... they have no place on pistonheads... If you could stick to constructive comments regarding the original post rather than having a dig at the scots I'm sure people would find these forums and ideal place for support for the TVR community.

For those still trying to follow my original thread, Tuscan Wheel bearings are from a 1999-2004 Jeep Cherokee & Wrangler without ABS.
They can be bought on ebay for around £55+P&P but my local motor factor can source genuine FAG ones for around £65+VAT so might be better to go for those with quality wheel bearings as these see a little more high speed use than on a Jeep!

If your after one, I've got one sitting in the garage. It's used but in perfect condition and from a 19,000 mile car. Bearing in mind these are Jeep Items and capable of doing 100k on a vehicle that weighs twice as much as a TVR, the one from a 19k Tuscan is as new.
