Right, booking her in for her 6k service and I have a question.

Now the tyre sizes on the latest S's are the same, is it ok to swap wheels front to back to even tyre wear or is there some other difference, such as offsets?

Also, mine has quite a loud exhaust resonance at about 3k revs, is this normal? The car is much quieter at 4k. Last time I asked them to look at this I got "they all do that sir". Guess what revs I do most of the time on busy duel carridgeways? I am getting a serious headache!

Cheers
Maf

Yep - mine is very loud at about 2900 revs. Going faster usually sorts it out though!

Or get some CCC cans so the noise is different

Or try the Nacton road in/out of work and avoid the dual carriageway.

No - look at the amount the wheel nuts are inset on front and back. As you'll see they are very different due to the extra rear offset so leave well alone.

More to the point, the wheels are different sizes front and rear

Not on the latest S, but as Plipton says, they may have different offsets.

Cheers Ed, glad the 2900 boom isn't just me. Does make it a bit of a bind for the daily commute though.

Simon, I normally turn off for a bit of a play down the old A12 and then backroads through Copdock (and avoid the interchange). Did you know they are planning a 50 limit on the old A12 now? Hope its not my fault.
