Not looking forward to the comments after Wheeler Dealers!!
Discussion
Seeing some of the trailers for the S series they are about to do...it doesnt look to be complimentary about TVR's!!
So, i will await the pleasure of a queue of people waiting to tell me how bad TVR's are!! Sad the way it works...it seems people actually get some enjoyment out of telling you!!

Just watched it.
There were a few negative and sweeping comments at the begging but I think they understood what its all about at the end.
Like 'buying into unreliability' and 'TVR's are renowned for being fragile'There were a few negative and sweeping comments at the begging but I think they understood what its all about at the end.
Oh well, as you say, they got their in the end! Seemed it didnt come out too bad, and for a 20 year old car...it was very good that it was only minor stuff needed doing!
we all know the TVR speed six is not the most reliable engine (it wasn't built to be)
so why have problems with it when people state that the tuscan isn't reliable
i believe it was the big idiot in top gear who started this.
i don't mind
and
in the same way he's a fan of the esprit
had 2 and can say that they are not much more relaible as a total product
manifold, clutch, brakes, ecu and electric problems in general, shocks, turbo problems, wastegate problems etc
so
let them talk
keeps the idiots away
only enthousiasts will buy the TVR (or will get rid of it very quickly)

Don't take too much notice of these motoring journalist types. The British motor cycle, truck, and car industry has over the years by and large disappeared. There are many different reasons for this including the unwillingness of politicians to support British enterprise, the indifference shown by the public to buy British, and the championing of anything ' foreign ' by such programmes as Top Gear.
Watching the said programme recently the little one was in ecstacy commenting upon the car he was driving. Comparing it to a Porsche Boxster he made comments about how red blooded his mount was, not predictable in the handling like the Porsche, much more fun to drive, what a car!!!
Was this a TVR he was raving about? no just a BMW Z4.This is typical of the double standards that exist, not just in the media but generally. If your tutonic machine breaks down you don't say a word. However, if its British you tell everyone.
Just leave them to it.
I drive 30000 miles in my AUDI company euro box, leaves me cold. Its like drinking in Wetherspoons, no soul. When I sit in the Tuscan, well time to enjoy.
Just leave them to it.

A friend taped it for me...watched it tonight (both episodes)... and I thought it was quite enthusiastic about TVRs. I thought the "mechanic" doing the fixing was a bit negative, it was hardly suprising he couldn't get a "new" radiator for a small volume car that was 20 years old. Overall , I took it as a plus for TVR ownership.
