just bought my tuscan S back from the guy i sold it to. was really excited that i had found it. looks like he kept it in good order. drove it home last night. was a bit ratterly on start up but soon quitened down, good oil pressure when hot and cold and no blue smoke. driving it home once properly warm i found it vibrates/fet a bit lumpy etc at idle and a bit of a quiet wering noice under the engine noise..... under hard excelleration it was fast but felt as if it could do more and was out of time.....

any thoughts? engine rebuild?

is it pre 2003? just give it the vitals spark plug checks, oil etc... maybe the timing chain is slack and just needs tightening or worse the valve sleeves and followers are worn. many problems possible trial and error will prevail though smile

Has it had a service recently if so give the garage it went to a buzz as they might remember it and may have talked to the last owner about it (the out come of the conversation could be the reason why it was up for sale).
