Tuscan 2 S

I had been looking to buy a T350c, and two very helpful guys on that forum helped me with some invaluable information and insight.

As time has past a my reseach has grown, I have started to look at Tuscan's, reading as many of the previous posts as I could manage and the conclusion is that I'm going to view a nice looking Mk 2 S over the weekend, which I'm hoping to buy.

I'm not going to ask the usual "what shall I look for question" because I have spent many nights reading all your posts, however there are two things I want to ask and I risk the laughter.

1/ It appears to my limited knowledge that the only difference between a Tuscan 2 S and a Sagaris is the body shell y/n feel free to take the "P" but just put me straight.

2/ The steering wheel in the Tuscan 2 S has overdosed on ugly pills, is there any alternative that still allows the use of all the steering wheel based controls, or can they go elsewhere so that the ugly thing can be replaced.

The Sagaris has a wider track, different suspension pick up points & different suspension.

The suspension on the MK2 Tuscan depends on age as they were first produced around the end of 2004, but by production end in 2006 the suspension was improved to Bilstein units similar to thoes fitted to the Sagaris.

Assume you looked at an earlier MK2 with the digital dash, if so I don't know if it can be changed easily.

Thanks, just looked at your profile your car is stunning.

The interior /dash/ steering wheel of yours is much more to my liking.

The car that I'm looking at is a mid 2005, so please tell me did TVR make the change of interior to all 2006 cars or did you order it that way, am I going to be looking for something that only exists in very limited numbers.

Thanks for the complements on the car

All the Tuscan Targas manufactured in 2006 had the Tuscan Convertible dash although there were not that may produced 23 if you believe the numbers that were on one forum and I don’t know how many of them were ‘S’ models.

I went to the Classic Car Show today, went on the TVRCC stand received a flyer TVR Car Club "There is nothing quite like a TVR" and a picture of your car on the front

From what I learnt the earlier Tuscan 2 cars had the pod dash, the digital one, with the better steering wheel IMO. Its the one that doesn't look like a bus steering wheel unlike the one on later cars!!

Ha D1ckie, "Bus steering wheel" ? I know the buses are good in Cheshire but...........
My 2006 Mk2 is similar to my Mk1 which was pretty similar to my Chimaera.
The only difference from the Mk 1 to the Mk2 is that I've now got screen display selection control buttons on the rear side of the steering wheels two spokes.
