New Tuscan owner
Discussion
Hello
As a new owner of a tuscan there are a few things i have come across that i need some advice on.
- When changing gears the revs seem to increase between the shifts quite significantly - is this normal ? or have i got a sticking throttle cable ?
- The speedo needle seems to decide where it wants to be and doesn't seem to be bothered about the speed i'm going - is this down to the sensor on the diff ? or some other problem?
- Despite the heater being on full i still dont seem to get much hot air through?
All help and advice great fully received.

Hi TinTin,
First congrats. Beside the few litte nigles I hope your enjoying your Tuscan. Photo's are needed.
Your questions;-
Throttle could be the pivot of the pedal having a bit of corrosion. (written this a few times in the last couple of weeks). Particularly likely if your car has been stood unused for a while at a dealers. WD40 on the pivot points and a bit of working should free it up.
Speedo wondering around with a mind of its own is normally the sensor. May be dirty contacts but I would go for new sensor.
Heater problem like you described may be the heater matrix "flap". Dont know what its called or how its controlled but there is a flap that closes of from cold to hot air. Could well also be a lack of use problem.
Dont know how to fix this and could be totally wrong on this one so .....anyone else ?
What year is it ?
Good luck happy driving and be careful on the greasy roads.
Tony.

To check if its the heater matrix flap try and turn the knob from cold to hot you should hear a "Whirring" sound as the matix flap moves.First congrats. Beside the few litte nigles I hope your enjoying your Tuscan. Photo's are needed.
