Does anyone know what kind of money Tuscan 2's are fetching at auction?

no idea
but i wouldnt want a car i'm not able to drive and inspect fully before bidding on it (especcially a tuscan)
those cars tend to be maintained short in cash or from people that dont bother about maintaining cars.
and.
never forget you have to pay auctionmoney on top of the price
i have seen tuscan 2's beiing offered on pistonheads for about 16 k.
isn't that low enough ?

Hmmm, not good news....it wasn't from the perspective of buying, it was for selling. Mine might have to go, and if I hand it back to the finance company I don't want to go for peanuts and end up owing a stack for something I don't have.

Agree with Rens that auction route not the best. Can't recall seeing a Tuscan 2 for sale for less than early £20ks though but happy to be corrected!

Guess at the end of the day it's probably down to how quickly you want to sell...

The auction route isn't my choice, it's the finance company that will dispatch it that way and credit the agreement with the proceeds from the auction.

There was a tuscan went through SMA at leeds last friday 18000 miles speed 6 full history 03 plate reflex paintwork and looked like a really nice motor. Not sure what it did or if it met reserve but I could find out for you if your interested.

I looked at an 06 T2 convertible earlier this year at auction - was very surprised to see it there until realised it was a company disposal. Managed to contact the previous owner and it needed a full 12k service, new tyres and some other bits and pieces. Went for just over 20K in the end I seem to recall.

For a decent T2? You sure? 02 & 03 models are often more than this let alone the mk2s.

Is there any other route you can take? i.e. transfer the finance onto a 3rd party, I know you will have nothing in return, however you wouldn't have any liability either.
I have only ever had 1 experience with handing back to a finance co which was @23 years ago where I was told that as I had only 1 year of finance left and since I had put a big deposit down together with a PX, I would certainly have no further payments outstanding and that I would also get some money back.
Guess what, I ended up with a bill of £1,300 some 4 months later, the car was sold for peanuts it was worth @4-5k and I owed @2.5k.
I took the company at their word, it was a painful lesson never to be repeated.

Unfortunately not....alternative finance just isn't an option, so I think I'll have to roll the dice and see what happens. Thanks for the advice though, folks.
