This is becoming a habit spun the car at 20mph argued with the armco and lost , a prolonged visit to Horseless carriage coming up. bugger
Black ice out there and I should have known better thankfully only cosmetic damage but its going to be expensive.
best leave them in the garage until summer that for sure.

sorry to hear fella. I have nothing near as potent (CTR) but got a massive slice of lift off over steer last night! Scared the s
t out of me TBH. Really only held it through massive luck then skill. Cannot imagine what driving a TVR in these weather conditions must be like.
Hope it works out cheaper then you think buddy.

Sorry to hear that, and thanks for the warning.
Last Saturday I had a minor "moment" - 30mph max, coming off a roundabout to join a slip road in 4th gear, barely touched the gas and it oversteered on me. I was driving so slowly and gently that power oversteer never entered my head. Fortunately I was able to catch it (and again when it flicked back the other way) but I was amazed how little grip it had.
This is the second time this has happened in the year I've had the car, and both times were in cold weather and on damp roads. I think that normal tyre rubber just doesn't grip in these low temperatures.
The worst part is you get no warning until it's almost too late - let's all take care!

Fun! But not in a fun way!Accidents are mostly a combination of cold tyres, a very light car with an even lighter back end, and a lot of power.
It's even worse in the RV8 cars TBH as they have so much low down torque, the S6 cars are easier to drive at slow speeds as the torque band doesn't come in till over 3000rpm (certainly for the 3.6) though they still require treating with kid gloves in this weather!
You are right , tail happy I would go so far as to say sucicidal in these conditions , I will have the car repaired and it will stay in the garage until June at least.
Ill post some horrible pictures tomorrow in the cold light of day.
I really have come to realise that these are fair weather toys they are not for everyday use.
To be honest I did the same with my Griff a few years ago in the dry!!! but that was just too fast into a corner as you do.

Hope both of you get fixed real soon. It's not much fun out there at the moment, and not just for TVR's, watched my mate fighting to keep his 5 series in some sort of straight(ish) line, passed a Saxo that had been wrapped around a tree, then heard about another car off further down the road, and the lady from work who did a 360 in her MX5, all within 6 miles this morning.
Sorry for you loss and hope its fixed painlessly.
But I will argue these cars are reasonable to drive in the wet at least, I hate it when people think of them as fair weather only. I was at brands last Sept in the rain and left in 4th gear easily passed other capable cars. Its rwd with no TC but just use your head.

your right but the tuscan doesn't telephone you when it's going to twitch and when it go's it's allmost impossible to get it back.But I will argue these cars are reasonable to drive in the wet at least, I hate it when people think of them as fair weather only. a lot of power and weight in front and a light backside
my esprit whent out sideways (still very good to handle) but the tuscan wants to pass it's own mirror
