Ok, so I am having a car checked out by Rob Ingleby in the next week, and if all is well will be back to tvr ownership, be it now in speed six form. Ok so you are given a 2k to make the car a better drive what would you do - suspension choice any other upgrades? I welcome your suggestions

Definately Nitrons and full geo set up, then NTEL's decats with Powers decat chip and Carbon cans. If the engine needs a rebuild, heaven forbid then a 4.3 upgrade would be my choice, but a little over £2k.
Maybe change the windscreen wipers for those with a better spray action.
I would definately go mechanical then cosmetic!
Enjoy but be careful!

yes What they said

From my experience or, more accurately, stuff I have done over the last year or two

Performance/Noise/Feel Category
Nitrons + setup by someone who knows what they are doing
Decat pipes (+map although I haven't actually got around to this bit yet)
Carbon Cans
Better tyres
Various throttle body improvement options

Things to check/Preventative category
Chassis protection where the cats were (best done when you are decatting) - the cats have a habit of burning the chassis
Upgraded fuel lines
Battery box modification (re-routing the +12V cable away from the chassis points to prevent the potential spontaneous combustion issue). I haven't done this bit yet either, but my guardian angels at TrackVRoad tell me my car is fine at the moment, though the horror stories with pictures do scare the bejesus out of me.
