What brake pads and discs does the Tuscan Mk1 use?
Discussion
Could anyone help me with a definitive answer on this one, I know the Griff/Chims use Ford parts but am unsure on the Tuscan, got it in for a service and they said their low but I've changed discs and pads on different cars myself before so if thier a Ford/Vauxhall etc part I'm tempted to get them myself and do the job, if thier TVR only then I will pay the extra and get it done.
Walter, the following is to the best of my knowledge and each car (Tuscan) may be slightly different as we all know no TVR is built the same as another, but in general....
Front brakes are TVR custom disks, AFAIK made by AP Racing. Calipers are CP6600 or the earlier type that I can't find/remember at the moment! Ferodo DS2500 is a good pad material, I use EBC Red Stuff without any issues.
Rear brakes are TVR custom disks again, as for fronts. Calipers are from a Ford Sierra 1.6 (all the way up to a Sierra Cossie XR4x4, and the Granada range), so any Ford Sierra pad fitment will be ok, but I wouldn't advice using a Ford Sierra 1.6l pad!

I just done mine ,tvr power cost £635.00 for all round with pads and my mechanic fitted them for £60.00.2003 tuscan.Walter, I had my front pads done on the last service (Dec 09), ive got a 2001 orignal Tuscan red Rose, what i found out was my front discs and pads are the same as a cerbs, 2 piece discs and slightly bigger pads than the standard tuscan, the pads cost me 44 quid a pair, they are AP Racing pads and they bite really well so well happy

. Better to be safe than sorry!
Some cars, notably the Red Rose, were supposed to have uprated parts. Allegedly.
