As most of you I also have a common problem with missing lines one the LCD display. Yesterday I disassembled my pod and by the looks of it the LCD display is not something especially made TVR. So i started to search the internet and found at electronic shop the same display with the same code stamped on it for 54,00 EUR - more than half a price. It seems to be a standard electronic part that can be bought.

I'm waiting for the answer of the retailer to see if it's the same unit or if there is a chance that TVR tweaked or programed the display in some sort that it is not exchangeable.

I will let you know as soon as I get the info or as soon as the LCD works again.

Had mine (was original and almost unreadable) replaced a couple of years ago. It's a fairly easy part to source over here - and I believe you are correct, it is a general part not specific to TVR since it is just a basic LCD screen.

It should be a standard part that is fitted without any TVR alterations.

I did a group buy last year for T350/Sag/Tamora owners on their LCD

I believe the part for the Tuscan is MGLS12864T-S-HT-HV-LED04-12 and it should be a 78x70mm PCB. It's a varitronix part and should be available from a company called trident (http://www.trident-uk.co.uk/jkcm/) in the UK, although when i did my group buy i dont think there was any stock of the Tuscan display - i was quoted approx £34 for the display. Worth contacting them and asking again though.

I'm not that far yet. The producer of these displays is Varitronix.

Varitronix

They have office also in UK and Germany (and some other countries to) I will contact them next week to check why these displays stop working. They have different ranges. Maybe they can offer a solution. I will keep you up to date.

OK have managed to find 31 LCD displays part numnber MGLS12864T-S-HT-HV-LED04, however they do not have the "-12", they are also unsure what it means, so it may be insignificant.

hab1966 - have you any idea?

Im going to take a quick look at mine when i can see if i can establish any difference, otherwise i may take a gamble - it may save me £100 odd.

One off price is £40 and a group discount if there is over 10 of us...

Will keep you posted...Rob

Hi guys!

What I've found out is that the original one is on stock in Hong Kong but they want to have 100 USD + shipping.

About the coding:

HT stands for: High Temperature
HV stands for: High voltage

Probably 12 stands for 12V but I'm not sure.

With regards,

Kris

ok sorry to mess guys around with my replies lol

You can buy 1 unit direct from Pacer.

It was the manufacturer that would only sell 500 units.

Mine screen is ordered with Pacer and will be here Monday so I will let you know the outcome.

Sorry again for the confusion lol

Is there a guide anywhere on how to remove the instrument cluster to get access to the LCD panel?
