Blinging time again.

Tuscan 2 is in for a service so a good time to do some more polishing. Manifolds and Cats are off to Zircotec for ceramic coating in Sterling Silver. Good time to take the oil cooler , a few pipes (for polishing) and brackets(for painting) off and get some nice braided oil hoses. More pics to follow but this is this afternoons polishing... bit more to do before it goes back on (stainless bolts for a start).

I gave up trying to get the oil cooler out
Did you find a sneaky way without having to dissassemble half the front of the bay?
Yes,get X-Works to take it out for me...asked at 10am Friday,by 11:30 am (playing my 2nd shot to the 4th hole on the Golf Course) got a phone call it was off. Did you find a sneaky way without having to dissassemble half the front of the bay?

Keith,
If not too late get the left hand engine mount bracket plasma zircotech'd too.
It stop the heat transmitting to the engine mount.

Thanks Graham, I'll see what I can do tomorrow.I'm aware that's the one that usually goes.... I've got a disintegrating gearbox mount, which rather suprised me.If not too late get the left hand engine mount bracket plasma zircotech'd too.

Thanks Nick,
Bit lucky with that one...bought the std. 3 caps for a Tuscan Mk1 (expecting the PAS not to fit) ... but Racing Green didn't send the dip stick for the oil cap, so I just thought it give it a try on the PAS .. and lo and behold its the same thread as the Mk1/Mk2 Engine Oil cap... So I ordered a 2nd Engine Oil cap (this time with a dip stick) from Jules at Leven and put the MK1 PAS cap on my Chimaera PAS... only issue is I have two caps that are engraved "Engine Oil" but I can live with that
Only Anodised caps seem to be available now...when I get a chance I'm going to try buffing them up.
Really impressed by Zirotec coating on the manifolds and cats..doesn't look too blingy but it solves the heat issues... must all be going out the backend now

Thanks for the info Keith will have to get another oil one, as looks much better with the three caps in metal. Exhaust cans will run hotter with Zirotech coating on the manifolds & cats, I know mine run hotter with the NTEL decats as the can ends discoulor a lot more after a run, although that could also be the flames doing that

Dont think mine looked that clean when it left the factory, how long does that take you?
It's miles better than when it left the factory
Costing me a fortune on stainless nuts/bolts/washers, braided hoses and elbow grease...doesn't take that long...provided you keep on top of it.Gassing Station | Tuscan | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
