fitting silicon hosekit, any pitfalls or suggestions?
Discussion
Hi Marten,
Funnily enough I changed mine last weekend. The only problem I had was that some of the original Jubilee clips were seized and I ended up having to hacksaw them off. Also when I finished the next day I had a "EFI Warning" coming up on the dashboard due to the moisture in the engine bay. Hopefully this should clear when I get the car out on a run and it dries out. I did ask HHC how I should drain the water and they said to pull of a hose which I did but as you can imagine a lot of water is expelled. Oh by the way when you fill the system back up you need to take you time to get all the air out - when you think it's full it won't be.
Good Luck. The silicane hoses look better but there is still a number of air hoses which are not in the kit.

Thnx for your reply Dennis,
so it's a pretty straight forward job
i can image the rusty clips on the car, so will be prepaired for them
luckily the kit contains new clips
on my car the hose to the radiator is almost shot, so really can't afford to wait
and besides that it ain't weather for a blast anyway
