I have a small area on the offside wing where the lacquear has come away from the paintwork. The area is getting bigger so I want to sort it out soon. Has anyone here succesfully applied lacquer to a small area and if so which one did you use? The paint is Crystal Topaz (suprise, suprise) if that makes a difference to the type of lacquer.

Cheers

As that's a hairdresser's colour you might get away with some hair lacquer!

As its Jigs, I think we can do better than that with a Back, Sack and Crack special just for him - with Immac and Deep Heat.

Back on topic it`s very differcult to blend in a bit of lacquer IMHO try your local "chips away" guy for more advice, but you will find it`s a body shop job i`m afraid.

I guessed as much. Mind you, I do have a couple of other scratches on the front bonnet which I could get repaired at the same time.

I have to admit that it was sitting in the garage at the time. The main one was from when my 1 and a half year old attacked it with something and made a nice V shaped scratch, the other time my wife dropped a can of paint on it. Just a small scratch with this but it could have been a lot worse.

Need a fence for the kid and the wife?

Hope you get it fixed. Good luck!
