Evening chaps

About to take the plunge.......need some advice on

a) who do any of you that are Manchester based use to look after your cars. What should I expect to be paying them for small and large service.

b) warranty.....which one? / how much? ....what needs to happen before I can buy one, ie does vehicle need to be inspected before anyone will sell me a warranty and if so by whom ?

I take mine to X works in Kirkham, just a train ride away. As for costs, never had a simple service, always had something else done but assume the costs will be the same as most other places. As for warranties, I would save my money, they are usually useless. I use the AA service where if you get a failure you can claim up to £500. Probably the better use of your money.

I tend to do most servicing items myself but have and would continue to use X-Works when the need arises. Heath and Paul are ex-factory guys and will certainly look after your car.

Another option although further afield is Track-V-Road, Clitheroe.

Both have vast experience of TVRs, know their stuff, are reliable and good guys to deal with!

I would highly recommend Track V Road www.trackvroad.co.uk . Speak to Craig and he will run through all the service menus they have. They can also sort out a decent warranty for you. They are only in Clitheroe which is about 40 minutes from Manchester. Only takes me 50 minutes from Glossop. They are open seven days per week and always have the kettle on. Nice bunch of guys and very knowledgeable

They will even pick you car for the cost of the fuel.
