Can anyone shed any light on this problem; often, but not always the car feels like it is holding back a bit. That feeling of being just on the power band but not quite, although it normally occurs at about 50 60 or 70 when I am just crusing and not under acceleration. It feels like I am turning the ignition off for a split second and then back on again if that makes sense. Any ideas, and could it be a duff battery ? Please help if you can.

Had a similar problem with mine a while back it just felt a bit un-responsive, I was going to get it checked out thinking it may be throttle pot's, ignition leads etc, then I had to change the battery as it was no longer holding charge (3+ years old) & after it was back to normal. I don't know if the ECU reset when the battery was disconnected, but what ever it was fixed the problem.

Dunno if this helps or not, but I had a very similar problem with the Griff, which was solved by having the injectors cleaned ultrasonically.

might be worn throttle bodies.

Lambda sensor possibly!! Best to get it checked anyhow.

Sometimes, when on a steady throttle, there is a "click" from behind the pod. Something happens at this point that seems to suck a smidge on engine power. No idea what it is (aircon is off) but it seems a harmless something adjusting itself.

I had a similar problem where the car was undrivable at motorway speeds, took it to TVR Power, they used the reset function on the pod and it was fine after. They told me that the software sometimes gets the wrong info stored in it and the reset clears this out . If I hadn't watched this all happen I wouldn't have believed it, but it really worked!

Exact same problem(if it is a problem)with mine.Anyway, car was booked in this week to sort out a few minor niggles so added it to the list,as I was concerned that the "click" might turn into a pause or,even worse, complete electrical shutdown!

Upshot is that the pod has been sent back to the factory......but I suspect that this is probably due to an erratic speedo more than anything else. Will keep you posted,as it is due back next week.

Reversing light glitch also being fixed! - thanks again Don.
