Tuscan 2S purchased
Discussion
Almost 3 years since I sold the Tuscan 2, could not resist the chance to buy a 2006 Tuscan S in Spectraflair Silver with Portland grey and pacific blue interior, one lady owner, only 6200 miles, must be one of the lowest mileage Tuscans in the UK.
Due to work commitments and owner getting it serviced and fully checked out I cannot collect it for 5 weeks.
Photo from the day it was collected from Ciceley TVR in 2006.
Hopefully get it to the Central Scotland TVRCC meet in May.

Yes I noticed you had a Cerbera now, running well? a different beast from the Tuscan 1 you had.
I hadn't noticed but yes it must have been jacked up for some reason, I will ask the owner.
I actually sold my last Tuscan to a German guy who lived south of Munich but that was nearly 3 years ago so I guess emmission rules have changed.

hi Rens,
O/T but I see you used to own an Esprit; been thinking about one as a daily drive (2nd car, let's say 10.000 km/year), V8 preferrably, what do you think? Or are they unreliable?
What a coincidence, you also had an Espada, one of my all time favorites! How rotten are these?

don't touch a lambo or maserati, when it's damp the car doesn't start anymore and the wipers won't keep youre windows clean. like a ferrari nice polishing cars.O/T but I see you used to own an Esprit; been thinking about one as a daily drive (2nd car, let's say 10.000 km/year), V8 preferrably, what do you think? btw the espada wasn't rotten. it was just a car
owned a 4-pot but heavily upgraded. (SE chargecooler, super 60 turbo, ram-air etc)
the GT3's (4-pot) are the most reliable and best buy.
if you buy a 1998 onwards you'll have the new interior and the exterior looks of a v8
the v8 from 1996 or 1997 should not be touched
running costs v8 are double. they are heavier. BHP is 350 but with a chip the GT3 can get to 330 (-200kg's)
it's a very good daily drive. better than the TIV
super balance and fuel consumption is neat.
problems are timebelts, manufolds (every 30k), gearboxes, clutches, ECU problems (there is always an error/car go's on limp mode)
if you want to know more pm me

Sorry rens I am relaxed just like people to make use of the great cars they have, if not they might as well go to a museum. As I struggle to do less than 6000 miles a year even though the Sag is our third car I guess I dont understand how people can make so little use of them.

have driven a lot of cars but always looked for the most fearsome
the lotus is a nice drive. to nice and i like a normally aspirated car more.
the lotus turbo has FP between 3-6 k rpm. below that it's a +/- quick car
mine was like my mother in law
always complaining and nagging :0)
i upgraded almost everything on the car (to get it quicker) with the result that it gets more nervous and less reliable
normale max boost is 0.85 bar. i drove with 1.4 bar.
was quicker on zandvoort than a DB9 and a 360 modena. yust drove away from them coming from bosuit.
the best part of the car is cornering. the balance is superb (better than my 993 cup version wich i wrecked on francorchamps)
if i ever buy one back it's going to be a 98 onwards GT3 (4 pot)
the lotus is designed to have a 4 cilinder.
the 8 cilinder disturbes the balance.
like the wicked looks and the rawness of the TIV more. will swap it for a noble once

Fine car, but on photo it seems that car is jacked up at rear!
Is this standard from factory?
No chance here in germany to get a 2005 TVR legal on road, due
to emission Euro5 is required!
All this cars are only for you!
Uwe
Uwe, there should be a way to get one road legal, even in Germany. Is this standard from factory?

Normally once a car is allowed in one EU country, the other countries, according to the EU law system, need to accept that that car can be registered in any country.
Euro5 is only required for new cars, your TUV can't deny older cars because they don't comply with the latest emission standards...

Well done. I have been looking for a Tuscan 2 S for ages. There are only two for sale in the UK at the moment one is at £40K and the other two I don't like the colours. I wish someone would decide to sell theirs soon otherwise I'll have to make do with a none S Tuscan 2 or a mk 1 Tuscan S.
