Just wandering what speaker upgrades anyone has mangaged with the limited space in the back of a Tuscan? Although quite happy with the Blakpool Symphony most of the time, on the trip to La Mans I had many complaints from my navigator who actually wanted to be able to hear the music being played!!
Can you recommend any car audio fitters in the Notts. arae are who have experience with TVRs, as I'd hate to leave it to be chopped up by any old Herbert!!
New speakers will have to do for now, but if anyone has fitted any interesting ICE, I'd love to hear about it....

Have a look at the link below. I actually
bought this car and the stereo sounds great
with the two subs between the seats and a 350 watt
amp in the boot. Might give you an idea of what
to do

I have had an alpine system fitted by trim technic on the wirral, new head unit, replacemnt speakers for the rear quarters and 2 6x9s fitted in a custome made box that is on the rear shelf, this has been trimmed in leather and looks origonal, plus the biggest comp amp that alpine do (off the top of my head its a 5 channel 1000w or something) sounds amazing, can get the full spec and try and sort some phots out if you want, let me know

Looks great!!! Are the original speakers still present at the sides? What size is the amp? I'm reluctant to loose too much boot space with electronic wizardry. Is there another place to locate a medium sized amp?

That sounds perfect. I'd appreciate seeing any pics of the rear speaker box. Where did you put the amp? 1000w. Sounds a lot for 2 6x9s and 2 rear quarter speakers?
Did you have anything put in the front (tweaters?) or does it sound balanced enough?
Any info greatly appreciated as I need to get this sorted out soon. It's OK hearing everyone go on about only needing to listen to the sound of the engine, but doing plenty of motorway miles (and therefore tracffic jams), I want to have some decent sounds to match the decent car!! You know what I mean.
If anyone else has any ideas they've implemented or knows of competent car audio fitters in the E. Midlands, please let me know.
Cheers

The amp is only about 10 inches long by 7 across
by inch and a half in depth. It sits on the left
of the boot on the wheel well directly under
the roof release handle and does not take up
any of the usable boot space. The rear speakers are
still there and are also fed by the amp.The Alpine
head unit has a separate output for a subwoofer
so it is easy to balance the sound. If you go to a proper dedicated audio installer I'm sure they
will be able to make you a nice system.Dare I say it
but buy a copy of MAXPOWER or similar mag, they will
have details of good local installer's.

Havent forgotten about pics, have mislaid my camera and will get my girlfriends later on, anyway, no speakers put in the front, didnt want to cut into front door skins, pods or new skins can be made up, but i have found that the sound from the rear is ample, it beats the local nova brigade and the clarity is superb, hopefully get the pics later on today/tomorrow

cheers
