Bump steer improvement

Just thought I'd report back following a few changes to the steering on my car.

It had developed a bit of play in the rack, which turned out to be in the pinion torsion bar, so I managed to source a 2nd hand low mileage rack from a 2003 car. Whilst looking into the play I found this thread which then resulted in this group buy.

Having now done a few miles with the bump steer kit fitted, I can honestly say it has made a big difference to how my car behaves. I no longer have to fight it over bumpy roads and am now trying it with the Nitrons knocked back a couple of clicks to soften it up a bit.

Forgot to add that it makes the car a lot less scary on the brakes as well.

Looks interesting, however is the rack on the Tuscan chassis positioned in the same way in relation to the suspension as the Cerb?

Not heard of bump/roll steer being of any particular problem on T-chassis cars? Has anyone done any tests to find out?

A mate has just had Race proved fit a bump steer kit to his Cerb, having driven it, its made the bump steer much less than my Tusc, i would certainly concider it on mine.

It's evident that its a particular problem on the Cerb, however how bad is it on the T-chassis cars? I'd like to have a mod like this done if it works, however I can't help wondering why it wasn't addressed by TVR previously? Is there some other nasty handling trait that dailing out the bump steer then exposes? Not sure insurance co's would look too favorably on suspension geometry modifications?

It's clearly not a difficult or expensive mod so why not do it? Has it been sorted on the Tuscan 2 chassis onwards? Is that what the revised suspension pick-up points on the Sagaris are about?

It definitely is on the earlier cars like mine, with the steering arms nowhere near parallel to the lower wishbones, as in the pic of the cerb on the other thread.
