I'm doing a track day on Sunday with a 105dB limit. I've got CCC's on at the moment with Cats in, should I swap them back to the standard cans or do you think I'll make it under the 105dB's?

Would my bolt on track day silencers fit ? If so, you can take them as back up.

Hello! What you doing sniffing round the Tuscan forum? You looking for info on reflex paints?

Not sure they would TBH. Maybe I should pop round on Sat to see if they fit?

laugh Yep - also to see what the rich folk are talking about.

Come down Sat morning - we've got people round this weekend but won't be arriving until after lunch.

WhyTwo,

I have a DB Meter that you could borrow if you want to test the noise level.

Ooh yes please! Are you around to meet up this week or sat? We could have a sound off - yes I know you would win but it would be fun to see by how much

Sure. Falcon again? Not sure they'd be too happy about a dB test in their car park but I'm sure we could find somewhere to go and be noisy! What time suits you?

In case anyone is wondering what the outcome was I was recorded at 110.5dB (CCC's with cats in) and Macey the hooligan was recorded at 116.9db! (de-cat and sleeved cans)

How was Cheddar Gorge Mace?

Hi WhyTwo,

Cheddar Gorge was fine, some nice cars there. How was your session at Odiham?

hello Stu!
sat in Bangkok airport, heading back to Samui. we just had 2 weeks there and then got stranded in BKK last friday. Been waiting at a hotel in the city since, but got fed up and decided to head back to the beach.
Confirmed seats for 28th April (airspace allowing!)

mail me if you're about.

Odiham was awesome. We had a Caterham R400 for the day which was mental. Great handling, so responsive and so much fun. Did a couple of sessions in the Tuscan which was great, obviously very different to the Caterham. Got up to 170 on the straight but definitely need to upgrade the shocks as, by comparison, it felt like a barge on the longer bends!

Defo want to do more track days. There's an RMA day there on the 18th July which I might book on

Oh and they don't test you for dB's so I couldve left my CCC's on as it sounds so subdued with the std cans on!

Maybe you should try and get the Racing Reds fitted before the next one in July? Good news that they did NOT test you for noise although it might have saved you swopping the cans over Saturday night if you had known.
