Discussion
As a collector of model cars, I pre-ordered this model a couple of months ago. They have kept me informed of the delay in the release which is due to the manufacturer and not Carinabox.
I'm not connected with Carinabox in anyway but as a model collector I know from expereince that the model manufacturers always seem to delay releases, but at least this company is selling the model at the retail price of £19.99 where as TVR themselves and Grand Prix Legends are selling the exact same model for £29.99!!!!
If any one is screwing you....!!!

One of these is a lot more fun

Latest news on the models:
The very latest news is that the models are now in transit from the Far East, coming via ship. The ship is due to dock later this month and we shall then receive our orders in the first or second week of June now.
I am as frustrated as you and many other customers are that the delivery date has slipped, but as we always say, these dates are out of our control. I must also stress that any retailer who is claiming to have these models currently in stock are lying. We are sourcing these models direct from the UK distributor for Jadi models and they have reconfirmed for me this morning that no retailer in the UK has any stock of these models yet.
We thank you for your continued patience and I look forward to sending these models out to you all in due course, I’m sure they will be worth the wait!
Kindest regards

I now have in my grubby paws a 1/18th scale Tuscan
Picked it up from The Model Centre in Nottingham for £19.99 and then phoned Diecast Legends (£29.99) to cancel my order only to be told it had already been sent
The model is pretty good quality (though not up to AutoArt standard) but the interior trim is a bit scrappy and could do with tidying up - so nothing unusual there then
I'll be stripping mine down this weekend to re-do the interior to match my own car; the outside is close enough to leave as-is. Oh - and it comes pre-fitted with carbon cars too, which is nice
Edited to add: I find it rather amusing and not a little ironic that there is finally a decent Tuscan model available the week the facelifted version is launched...

Judas, while you are stripping it down, could you see how hard it would be to remove the front and rear spoilers, for us standard Tuscan owners who want a model.
The front splitter is moulded into the base, so can't be removed as such. Some judicious work with a craft knife and file should do the job though. The rear spoiler is glued on and should come off easily. However, I'm leaving both in place for the time being. The rear lights on an S are positioned differently to those on a standard Tuscan and making the model authentic to the original would involve quite a lot of work on the metal body - drilling and shaping new holes and filling the old ones. I'm a bit too out of practice at model making to bother with that

Anyhow, mine's been stripped down and all the interior re-painted. Just need to reassamble now. It's quite an easy job as the parts mostly clip or screw together and will come away without any bother provided that you're careful. But some of the smaller parts are glued/heat welded in place and won't come out without breaking them. I've taken some pics of the stripped down model - I'll post them in a bit, along with some of the completed job.
