Hi

has anyone here tinted their windows? Any picture? Any place you would recommend to do the job, around london?

I am wondering if this would be a good idea on my moonraker black mk1 tuscan...

Thank you

Have seen it done on a black tuscan and it looked great, good for night driving too, reduces glare.

Have been toying with it myself but worried it will 'chavvify' the car hehe

Cant recommend anyone though sorry.

I had a purple tint on my first Supra and found it horrid couldnt reverse park very well and in the dark you have no idea if the car behind is the bib or not (not that it should bother you either way)

Hi Ben - Was it your car that was parked on Crawford Street on Saturday morning?
Drove past a very nice and shining black MK1 Tuscan, and from I remember you live in the area..

all my previous cars and vans ive had i had the windows tinted so im a bit of a fan.

i have not bothered with the tuscan as it is a thing of beauty anyway.

also the rear screen would be a bh because of the shape and would need to be done in two bits, in normal cars the tinter would disguise this using the lines on the heating element, but obviously the tuscan dont have these.

i know you can get tinted rear screens but these would not match the tint on the glass and may look a bit odd.

all IMOHO obviously

I looked at getting this done on my old tuscan. It has problems because the sides and back are perspex, not glass so the best you can get it a tint on the front.

Tints and perspex don't mix. No worth doing

I have my windows tinted and the rear screen was replaced with a matching coloured Perspex. I don’t know of any Tuscan with Perspex on the sides, they were all glass.

Very happy with the look, not extremely dark but enough to take the edge off, so to speak.

I have Mk1 S with the black rear screen, got my side windows done, very pleased, not too dark, just enough to take the edge off.

Got mine done by Tim in North Wales, but they've got guys all over the place.

isn't there something like a rule that you will have to have a certain % of light coming through the windows.
so if they are tinted you'could have MOT problems
or is that a dutch problem only
