Next purchase - tuscan or 350?

Just sold my lovely chim 450, so now looking for next toy.
I had toyed with the idea of sagaris for a long while but I think I may go for something a bit more subtle!!
Also a sag costs twice as much as my alternative choices.
I guess my main concern buying a tuscan (i only like the mk 1) is they are older and a increased risk of buying a duffer.
I would like to buy something that is well sorted and i know won't be ball ache as I enjoyed the fact my trusty chim was niggle free, breaking all the usual TVR stereotypes.
I would like to know of anybody ho has experience of both and their feelings.
Also anybody know of any decent cars they could recommend? I'm happy paying decent money if its reflective of the purchase. Obviously i'm new to the Speed 6 engines.

Make sure you do, they have different characters.
I drove both back to back and plumped for the Tuscan. T350 was a great car, quite refined for a TVR, but felt just a little bit too normal!!
Compared to the Tuscan, which still has a very animalistic core, felt more special to me, looked more special too. More spacious cabin and the roof comes off which is a bonus!
As for buying advice, loads on here, have a read round. Age is not a factor i would consider at the top of the list, buy on condition and history, i.e. look for engine work (by the right people), chassis, clutch, paint, interior, shocks, etc, then age...

The Tuscan (ours is a 'vert) makes a damn fine GT car with its enormous boot, roof off options and very spacious feeling cabin. Also I found the seats quite comfortable for mile munching.
The T350 felt a heck of a lot more of a go-cart. The boot is OK, but no where near as good as the Tuscan and it can feel a little closed inside. The seats feels a little more "snug". I found it held me in a lot better allowing me to throw the T350 around a lot more than the Tuscan.
All in all, for a weekend hoon I would go for a T350 and a Tuscan if I was going to do two weeks at a time touring.
As the wife and I have both, extensively, driven both, maybe she will pop in and give you her view of this.

i actually don't like soft tops! but i liked the chim because it was reliable and good poke in the eye of everything a modern car should be or is!
I have also always loved TVR, I love its combination of a drivers machine mixed with handmade leather luxury. I think its truly unique. Funny enough my only friend who appreciates this is the one with a Ferrari 550 (its ok he loves TVR) ,I guess he understands driver input and feedback?!

I had a Chimaera 4,0 and then mK1 Tuscan.
I missed the convertible aspect of the Tuscan even though I couls take the roof off.
Like you my Chimaera was very reliable while my Mk1 Tuscan cost me a fortune in repair work but then I didnt do ANY homework and asked my wife to check it out as I was away.
Even so, I loved the car. Had a lot more people saying hello and asking about the Tuscan than the Chimaera.
Driven a Tamora which I felt was excelent but unfortunately the boot was too small for my travel needs. Not driven a T350 but I heard T350 and Tamora feel very similar.
For me now have best of both with a convertible Mk2 Tuscan....superb car.

not a massive fan of the mk II, and would rather spend that sort of money on 350/sagaris if i'm honest.
i have always loved the tuscan, but I have seen some of the expenses people have had running one!! I want to enjoy it and not have it in a garage every 5 seconds. My chim cost me a few mot's, service and tax!
