On Sunday at Chatsworth , Tamster pointed out a mysterious cable in the boot of his car (tucked away in the top drivers side corner above the flap that covers the fuel tank sensor). I'd never noticed it on mine, its exactly the same connector as the ECU 3pin diag port under the dash. My first guess was it was an extra Laptop point, tried it on mine this afternoon...and guess what ...when I connect my PC the boot latch activates..... So I guess its not an ECU point after all, but where if you wanted a boot release switch inside the cabin where you would attach it to....Don't you just love TVRs , always something new to explore. hehe

Odd, the same connector is used on many things (on the MK1 anyway). Its just a bulk buy job.

I guess with it being standard Ford lock, it's just on the part, so TVR just routed around the back of the boot and left it dangling.

Tamster.

Glow worm, sure that cable/plug is a power supply for a heated rear screen (believe it or not) for the Targa top Tuscan's looking at the wiring diagram's, guess the factory used the same wiring harness for the T2 Vert's.

As for an internal boot switch you would need to run a cable in parallel with the existing boot button back to the cabin, thank's for the info on the roof stowage/alarm thumbup

Ceri, just try shorting out a couple of pins with a paper clip....boot latch closes.
