Can anyone recommend any good insurance companies for tuscans? Currently paying 300 on my chim, hopefully getting the Tuscan in the next few weeks but best I have been quoted is 900 which seems excessive being 31 with full ncd.

Also the car is a 52 plate and I'm being told by the garage its a 3.6, however all the insurance companies seem adamant it's a 4.0 and that the 3.6 were only 04 onwards??

Any help appreciated cheers!

Try A-Plan... they're pretty good. Took out my policy when I was 28, 6 years NCB and 8000 miles a year, daily drive 2004 Tuscan S - paid around £700.

Adrian Flux just beat everything that Moneysupermarket could throw at me. And because it's on a cherished car policy they don't use my ncb - meaning I can use my 7 years ncb on my daily drive insurance instead. I got 2 separate quotes from Flux - 1 before and 1 after joining TVR car club - and the cost saving was > the club membership. I've seen some posts on here stating the Flux aren't competitive but I guess it depends on your own individual circumstances. Worked for me.

Mine is £399 with Classicline in Hinckley, 5000 miles pa, 6 points on licence. I was really pleased with that!

Might give them a try myself. That's a great price. My quote was £780...
Age 40, car garaged, 7 years NCD - perhaps my 9 points, all for speeding, didn't help.

Hi, As one of the other posts said we give discounts for TVR Car Club members and Pistonheads members so we can normally do some pretty decent prices on all TVRs. So could be worth a quote from us (adrian Flux). You can pm some details if you want a quote.

A-Plan are good but pricey and are not very good when you start asking questions about 3rd party cover at the 'ring.

Manning UK were the best for me price wise.

Best so far has been 680, if I include the wife who has a claim and an sp30 goes up to 900! Still got a few to try so fingers crossed as only pay 300 on my chim at the moment..
