Morning Gents

Picking up a Tuscan S next week and just wanted to ask a little advice on insurance. Have a quote of £440 from Manning based on 3k miles, social, domestic, commuting, business use with £500 excess. This sounds OK but Admiral quoting the same and just thinking I could stick the daily (BMW 130i) and possibly her indoors 320d on an Admiral multicar policy and save a bit? Still to get a quote from Flux etc and have next week to sort something out.

Looking at the weather I only with I was picking up today...

Any thoughts/help appreciated...

Thanks in advance!

Doesn't sound too bad really but depends on the rest of your details. If you do get a quote from Flux make sure you say you are a Pistonheads member because that can knock money off.

Update, cover arranged for 3 cars on Admiral multicar. Price for TVR - £340! Saved £200 on her indoors 3 series and the 130i was under £200. Big thumbs up for Admiral. That's 3 cars insured for about £100 more than it cost me to insure the CSL last year... Almost sounds too good to be true so will be checking the paperwork carefully when it comes through.

Now just got to get through the next 4 days... Picking up the Tuscan on Saturday!

Manning get my vote, they don't mess you about regarding the thatcham alarm like Flux. Flux told me I'd have to get a new alarm fitted frown

Also with the mannings policy most track use is covered (not public nurburgring days though) even though the certificate says otherwise. I have queried this with them and they confirm that the certificate is just a bog standard print but that they do in fact have a letter from Allianz (iirc) confirming that the vehicle is covered for track use. The excess jumps up to £1000 on track but I have no problem with that.

I'm 32, no points (for quite some time now *touches wood*), live (almost literally) in the middle of nowhere and car is in a locked garage. I have maximum ncd and pay about £480 with a much lower excess than you. but there's no way I could have the self control to do only 3k a year in her so I am on unlimited mileage biggrin

Just insured my supercharged Tuscan with Flux and they were quite happy with the standard metalarm. They were the only company willing to include my father on the policy as well. Need him to run it around whilst I am away. Was quite happy with A Plan till they said no to the old fella.

I think a lot of this is postcode driven as I am with Flux - have been for ages - and they insisted on a Tracker being fitted with the car in London.

my insurance comes up for renewal next month - i've noticed a hike in premium on my last year's quote of £420. However, I wasnt quite prepared for the quote from Hastings Direct (courtesy of moneysupermarket.com) who are prepared to insure my Tuscan for a premium of £98,469. yikes They will even let me pay monthly if I want.
